Takki had never seen Monk Gyatso so furious. The entire Southern Temple had been sent into an uproar ever since Aang had disappeared. At first he had been happy to hear the news, but now that initial emotion only made him ashamed. Holding tightly to his bison's reigns he could not help but feel afraid. Aang had always been the best at airbending, Takki had never been able to keep with his peer. Not even a peer, Aang was several years younger, but Takki still had not mastered all the steps.
